"What use is sobriety when I can get drunk on a curvy expanse of creme with laughter that is breathy in all the ways that matter. A full course meal where small talk was left to linger in the doorway. This is a moment for the sizzle of wax laced with sheets that won't be cool for long. Shall we?"

"I measure understanding in the dirt on my boots from the lengthy road. In forests deep, I find certainty. Down streets of sulfur, I have chats with purgatory. You can see grace in the umbra of addiction without a dealer. My fix is the way filth makes your eyes sparkle. Gemstones lacking polish."

"Many are the gifts handed to those who lack the nuance to perceive them. Victimized by blurry depth perception of the spirit. Lost in their reflection, centered in their headspace. You could hand them the world, and they'll call it a closet. Not everyone wants to be helped. A facade."

"It takes time to learn the world through a lens of magic. The signs and portents are on display in the public square. They linger in low-end books written by the insane. Careful reflection shows the truth amongst the play acting. Many will be found after you've lost the reality to find the lie."

As the year ends we've increased the footprint of indie presses from around the country. As times change it's important to support these smaller publishers who are putting out fascinating books. It's not surprising that so many indie pubs are putting out award winners. #smallpress #indiepublishers

My mark is being forged. It is not yet written.

"After the walls crashed down, and the silence came in. I was buoyant on a salty sea before the waves came for me. All the emotions I forgot came to drown me. I twist and struggle, hands unable to turn off the #faucet of feel. Until I swallowed it down, ate my passions, digested my doubts." Breathe"

"A mind that refuses to cease chattering while my feelings thaw. Pumpkins and leaves in the snow make me out of season. I require tenderness to bridge all the gaps that the experience gave me. My ideas weave symbols of need and want and remembrance. Winter breaking up my journal pages."

"There are more than stars in my skies to reach for. I ask for the cosmic that left the horizon in the dustbin. Dream landscapes that made the nightmare worth the trip. A far past far away to forget what words taste like. Where travelers are welcome. Peace in the weird and passion in the strange."

"You spotted me at a distance in the life bazaar and found my table intriguing. Standing across the street, a bemused grin on your lips. My wares were there to see, and you drank it all down. Made stories up in your mind, I was a #myth before I was real to you. A slow nod, a chuckle, you walk over."

"Time doesn't travel. It waits. It touches us, the elect that created the idea. Leaving its mark, telling us nothing except the little things. The broad circle of history is a better metric. I wear a grin through the frost of years. Imparting the tales of a hundred nights too warm to fear the flame"

"See the symmetry in how decay falls in degrees. I've written novels with my eyes in the light of the beauty in imperfections. Every blink is a sentence with each sigh you gift me. I pen a page. Sculpting art out of what you call flaws because I love them. You don't contain the climax behind doubt."
