Today, October 14th, we remember George Floyd on what should have been his 52nd birthday.

His murder in 2020 by white police officer Derek Chauvin sparked a summer of protests calling for justice and police reform.

On October 14, 1964, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was awakened by a phone call from his wife telling him he had won Nobel Peace Prize. At the time he was the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize (age 35) and only the second Black person to win the award.
