I think one of the hardest things about being disabled and young is that if you don't seem to present your disability overtly, people think you're lying.

If you do, they pity you.

Like, what do I have to prove?

I can't believe Spooky season began and I can't even go to the pumpkin patch, apple orchards, or sunflower farms until I'm no longer broke 😭 #audhd #autisticperson #disabled #disability

The world is scary right now.

Republicans killing Democrats,
A president who admits he wants to deny democrats healthcare,
And
One world on fire because of his choices.

I'm f***king terrified.

I find the most frustrating part of having chronic pain and going to a different specialist who could potentially help...is getting told that the findings he had were not sufficient enough to diagnose anything!!! Like omg I'm upset 😭 and still clueless 😞 as to why I am in pain #chronicpain

I am so exhausted 😩 and it's only the first week since I came back to work. Don't know how I'm going to make it, want to take a nap 😴

I'm grateful that I have survived COVID for the second time. I had a hard time because I got worse in my first 2 days and had to go to the ER. I was lucky they got me some strong meds and now I finally feel alive. Yay me!

Moving, working, and constantly thinking about improving my health isn't helping my stress and anxiety. But I have heard that I've been funny lately?🤔 #audhd #disabled #disability #chronicillness #autisticwoman #paraprofessional #bht

I am not sure how much I'm enjoying my second job. I will say though, 6 more weeks of winter is going to kick my butt. Also, looks like I have an autoimmune disorder from my blood work.

Autistic life is going in the supermarket and stuff that you normally get has been moved elsewhere which then means the rest of your planned day is a complete and utter right off, thanks brain.

Ableism is blaming disabled people on how their needs are a burden on the system rather than blaming the system on how inaccessible things are for disabled people.

Is it normal to feel like passing out after blood work? Or am I just another small percentage in a crowd?

Hey, white disabled people, you can still be racist even though you’re disabled. Let’s celebrate Black people and not forget that if it weren’t for the Black Panthers, we wouldn’t have the ADA. Minorities who stick together, thrive together.

Having the flu sucks!

It's kicking my ass more than I would like to admit, and I'm lethargic on top of it all! Plus the low grade fevers aren't helping either....😞

Just a reminder that if you tell a disabled person to move out of the US if they’re scared of living here, other countries don’t want us either. Countries will turn you away because you’re disabled. We’re seen as a burden and that’s so normalized that it’s okay to turn us away.

Getting banned books are probably the best things I can invest in.

I am a bookworm naturally, but I am getting books or already have books that are proposed to be banned.

I will never stop reading or trying to learn.

It took a while for it to be processed (typical) but here I am.

Also chronic pain kicking my butt.

Tomorrow will be a dark day for many.

For disabled, marginalized, LGBTQ+ folks & women. For anyone who still cares about others

The disability community saw this coming. It’s important we listen & understand that labelling people as expendable for 5 years leads nowhere good 🧵
