The spinoff, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, is a different story entirely. Those are all good.
When it comes to mainline Pokémon, the older games are just better. I revisit Gen III, IV, & V the most. That's the sweet spot for me, I guess.
This is coming from someone whose first experience with mainline Pokémon was in Gen VI. Pretty sure I can't be blinded by the nostalgia I don't even have.

But only 'cause my old one already had one foot in the grave (one speaker blew out and the system had trouble reading SD cards)
