We mourn the loss of Renee Nicole Good, an LGBTQ+ writer from our literary community. Her voice and her life mattered. Her poem, “On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs,” recognized by the Academy of American Poets College Prize, deserves to be read and remembered.

So this happened! Big thanks to Sydney Maldonado for the thoughtful conversation — wasn’t expecting it to go up so soon, but grateful for the space to talk about survival, visibility, and why marginalized stories matter.

Happy New Year. Grateful to still be here, still writing, still finding meaning in this mess of a world. Wishing everyone a year with more care, more honesty, and more room to breathe.

Honored to be invited to the LGBT+ History Month Reception at the Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster. I’ll likely be unable to attend, but it means a lot to be recognized as an American artist in London and included in a space that honors LGBTQ+ history and culture. Grateful for the invite

Thank you to Phillip Ward for trusting me with this original scarf that belonged to Quentin Crisp for tonight’s AN EVENING OF QUENTIN CRISP reading at the Gene Frankel Theatre. Honored to help celebrate his legacy in his own words.🧣

Last night’s LGBTQ+ Publishing 101 panel was genuinely inspiring. Real talk about navigating publishing as queer writers, and the response has already been incredible.

Sharing a quote from my poem “Unpassable” — part of my forthcoming collection Still, We Are Sacred — for Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

We carry what they tried to erase.
Honor the ancestors. Tell the truth.
