#SNAP benefits average $187 a month, according to an article in today's New York Times. In the NYC mayoral race debates, all three candidates said they spent around $150 or more a week for groceries (Cuomo said $250 if his daughters were w/him). We are denying people a pittance. Good freakin' grief
