S2E3 "First Impressions"
There's a lot going on in this episode, almost too much. And I don't think Cordelia is written particularly well, considering she's in the spotlight. I did like the vamp switcheroo after the party scene. But Darla is already getting on my nerves.

S2E2 "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been"
One of my favorite episodes of the show. After Angel kills the demon and goes to room 214 to find now old Judy and tell her she's free. Such a painful, beautiful moment.

Definitely a cause.

S2E1 "Judgment"
This episode is messy. The only thing I like about it is that it introduced Lorne, played by the immensely talented Andy Hallett. His addition improved the show tremendously.

S1E22 "To Shanshu in L.A."
This is a harrowing episode, as Cordelia is cursed and Wesley is nearly blown up. It's pretty tight, too. I especially love Angel's handling of Kate, after she treats him like shit for half the season. "You want a war? Try me."

S1E21 "Blind Date"
This is a silly episode. It was like they had no other idea of how Angel could get the scroll. Even as a MOTW episode, it's not all that.

S1E20 "War Zone"
Great intro for Gunn. Of course, it's just like Whedon to kill off a character for the sake of wounding one of his characters, as if there is no other way to achieve that sort of pain.

S1E19 "Sanctuary"
"How does this work?"
I enjoyed this, though Kate certainly get annoying here. The resolution, though, is fairly perfect, as they all walk in the station to find Faith had turned herself in.

S1E18 "Five by Five"
Most of the episode is well done, but the fight in the rain with Faith yelling "I'm bad!" is just... bad. The whole episode could have been perfect, if she just kept screaming "Kill me!" When Angel doesn't, she could have exploded and collapsed.

S1E17 "Eternity"
Great MOTW though it's not really. But Rebecca's story is interesting, as is Angel's reaction to her request. He says he over-reacts because he's drugged, but that really doesn't seem to be the case.
Angelus presenting was stupid.

S1E16 "The Ring"
I like this episode, but one thing bothers me. When Lila busts Angel out, why not promise you'll keep The Ring secret and work on freeing the slaves from the outside? It seemed silly for him to go back not knowing if Cordy and Wesley would ever find him.
