First panel: Aziraphale sits in a bed and reads while Crowley is fast asleep beside him. Second panel: Azira hears a sobbing sound and looks up. Third panel: Astra (my ineffable family OC) stands at the door crying and calling for her papa. First panel (left): Azira puts away the book and moves out of the bed, looking concerned at Astra and saying "Oh my little duckie..." Second panel (right): Astra raises her arms like she wants uppies. Azira (out of frame) says "Come here." and grabs her to take her up. Third panel: Crowley woke up and looks sleepe and confused. "Hnnngk... what happened?" Aziraphale with Astra in his arms, trying to calm her: "It seems like Astra had a really bad nightmare." First panel: Crowley softly smiles at Astra. "Hey, it's ok to be scared, but you don't have to worry. It was just a dream and not real. Astra turned her head towards Crowley, tears still streaming down her face. "But Dad, it was Chuckie the Chicken. He tried to eat me!" Secon panel (thinking bubble): An image of Chuckie the Chicken, a cartoony mascot of "Chuckie's Nuggies". It looks a bit creepy. Lowe panel: Crowley:"Oooh. Yeah, that weird billboard chicken with teeth." Aziraphale:"They really need to get rid of that hidious thing." First panel: Crowley looks softly at Astra again. Azira nuzzles his cheek against the top of Astra's head. Astra rubs the tears away and grabs Azira's finger. Azira:"Would you like me to bring you back to your bed and read you another good night story?" Astra:"Hmmno..." Azira:"Do you want to sleep here tonight?" Astra nods. Second panel: Crowley and Aziraphale laid down in bed and face each other. Astra sleeps between them with her face pressed against Crowley's chest. Crowley to Azira:"I could just burn this ugly billboard down, you know?" Azira:"My dear, we said we try to act like normal humans and only use miracles in emergencies." Crowley:"I will use a flamethrower then. Like a normal human."

I posted this on my Patreon back in August 2024, about a month after the Neil Gaiman allegations first broke. Figured I might as well share it here now, in the wake of Lila Shapiro’s article bringing the victims’ stories to wider audiences.
I have been quiet since the news broke about Neil Gaiman. In that time I have been listening and processing in private. It goes without saying that I am heartsick, horrified, and angry. My heart goes out to the victims—those who took the risk in speaking up and those who we may not ever be able to hear from. I hope they can find the healing and peace they deserve. How does one square compassion for victims with love for a story made by the person who hurt them? What does it mean to continue to be involved with that story in this context? I think we as fans need to give ourselves grace in deciding what this means for our personal relationship to Good Omens, and what it means for us as individuals who are active in this community. Only you can decide what boundaries to put up for yourself when it comes to engagement with fandom and its source material. This is not the kind of thing anyone can easily drop and walk away from, and I do not think it is fair for anyone to demand that. Anyone who pressures you to abandon the story does not understand what it means to be in a fan community, and how a transformative space like this grows beyond the creator to become a beautiful, weird, terrifying beast of its own. I love the space we've carved out for ourselves. I love the incredible, funny, daring, bright friends I've made through Good Omens. I love the fire this story lit in me, how it pushed me to create art again and gave me courage to seek new relationships. I love the way this community has taught me more about myself. My time in this fandom getting to know you all has been incredibly meaningful for me. It will continue to have deep meaning for me. I will go on creating fanworks for Good Omens and loving the fanworks made by talented creators in this space. I will go on spreading our shared love for the story and its characters. Our community means too much to me to give up because of one man's terrible actions. I am disgusted with him. I am angry on behalf of those he hurt and disappointed that he shattered the faith we all placed in him. I am reminded again of that strange truth that people capable of creating beautiful, moving art are also capable of doing terrible things that stand in contradiction to that art. It’s a paradox that those of us who love art are forced to confront time and time again.
