I am aware that this may be an unconventional digression—I would like to think that I am perceptive enough to hope at least for \textit{that}—but really any of this might be as such.
Je cligne des yeux et mes passions disparaissent en congé. Tout à fait vide. Je cligne des yeux encore une fois un autre jour et elles réapparaissent en un instant. Si seulement elles étaient constantes, alors je pourrais faire du progrès sur mes projets.

Ich frage mich, ob es möglich ist, dass meine dritte Sprache, Deutsch, eines Tages schwächer als meine vierte Sprache, Griechisch, werden könnte. Manchmal scheint das der Fall zu sein, weil ich im Augenblick viel mehr Lust habe, Griechisch zu lernen als Deutsch zu lernen.

This may be an erroneous or incomplete sentiment, but it’s amazing that some #Greek verbs are syntactically—though not semantically—passive. It makes sense if you think about it: one doesn’t really actively exist (είμαι), sleep (κοιμάμαι), or remember (θυμάμαι).

I find myself falling in & out of love with my target languages. There’s little practical reason for me to learn #german and #greek, but it does sometimes seem inexplicably appealing.
I’m considering splurging on a basic Greek book. Hopefully the options I’m looking at are good…

as a lingering symptom of the analytic tradition, standardization, and the 5-paragraph essay, but I suppose I can’t, for I haven’t read it in any other sources.
