It was bizarre watching memes of "lol wouldn't it be funny if it actually happened" turn into "but what if it really did happen" to conspiracy theories of "I think it's actually for real happened" and now "we're legitimately shocked and disappointed it didn't happen"

I might be old person yelling at cloud with this one but every time I see stories about people falling in love with AI or sexy Grok I just wanna ask is cybersex not a thing anymore? Like weren't there places in WoW or like Second Life to do that with an actual human? Like I knew people who did that.

I don't want to be Nostradamus but I wouldn't be surprised if he runs in 2028 Newsom and looses the primary to someone more left, and says "fuck it, doing a Cuomo" and decides to run in the general election and ends up being a spoiler.
Then we get "this is your fault for voting for Newsom"

With so many people shocked by all the Epstine Trump stuff that has been well known for years like they are hearing it for the first time, I feel like someone could start a conspiracy about the well documented fact Trump was a registered Democrat through most of the 2000s and freak these people out.

I wonder if Konami was mad at square enix was for giving Dirge of Cerberus the most castlevania ass title ever. We got a Rondo, a Symphony, an Aria and a Lament but never a Dirge because Final Fantasy stole that type of song

Making friends is so much harder the older I get. I just want to find a community of queer people to talk about weird 90s anime and ps2 games...or you know, other things too. I've tried looking for discords for queer/trans people but none of them feel right.

I feel like if I had an actual following on blue sky I would stop posting forever the first time I tried to say anything sarcastic and then got dozens of replies of people clearly missing the joke.

God why do so many bus systems suck at announcing stops? The voice is either too quiet or muffled or gargled? I thought they all sucked until I visited Chicago last month and their system was great, clear, loud and easy to understand. Good on you CTA

As a kid there were a bunch of newer Christmas movies where Santa was real l yet had a plot point in the movie about adults not believing in him. (Namely polar express and the santa clause) And I hated it because it made no sense. Who bought the presents, Santa or the adults? It still bugs me.

I really find it interesting that my first post here got 5 random likes, but not a single random like on anything else. I'm not mad because I don't have followers and don't really try to gain any, it's just weird that first post got those likes.

I wonder if the religious right has switched their views on Harry Potter from being "literally teaching kids step by step to summon Satan" to something more positive now that Rowling has gone super transphobe. Or maybe they just don't care anymore

On a random note, really tired of how much coverage the game awards get when there are actual legitimate game awards shows like DICE that no one cares about because they aren't full of trailers
