What's lost when we lose staff, departments, programmes and faculties in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and what's that got to do with organ donation?

Amid the looming losses faced by Cardiff, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Leicester and Nottingham (among many others), here's a worked example. 1/8

Just finished up my last shift at the 41st EVA International Biennal of contemporary art. The team were kind enough to share archival documents to all the visitor assistants so I'm pouring over them while hiding from the rain. 😄🌧

There are no circumstances where human beings should be without food. There are no qualifications that make someone undeserving of access to food. If you are a human being, you should get food. I don’t care about ability, job status, legal status, or anything else. If people are hungry, feed them.

For this weeks #PoemsAbout #BurnForTheCamera with @alanparrywriter.co.uk and @thebrokenspine.co.uk I want to look at social media politics and the lack of political literacy that leads to cult-like worship of political parties. As written by an irish socialist.

Back on to #PoemsAbout after a brief sabbatical while starting a new job. For #BreakTheMould with @thebrokenspine.co.uk and @alanparrywriter.co.uk . I wanted to discuss the limitations of clinical trials for medical devices and the variety of human experience. #poetry

For this weeks #LiftToTheSky with @thebrokenspine.co.uk and @alanparrywriter.co.uk I'm recommending Virgil by Steve Orlando, J.D Faith, Chris Beckett, and Thomas Mauer. A 'queersploitation revenge tale' set in Jamaica. This graphic novel combines tense action, emotiinal nuance and beautiful visuals.

For #PoemsAbout #NeverAgain with @thebrokenspine.co.uk and @alanparrywriter.co.uk I looked at the idea that 'never again' can come to late. It never needs to happen again because the deed has been done. What is happening between now and never? In mourning the dead do we look away from the survivors?

For #LiftToTheSky with @alanparrywriter.co.uk and @thebrokenspine.co.uk I'm recommending 'Human Costume' by A.E. Stringer. This poetry collection explores the interonnectivity between physical existance and our sense of self. "Eerie marriage of form / and purpose, the empty / pentagon, ill omen"
