U know U R old when U injure your back putting lotion on your legs. It wasn't a fall or anything. Just a slight move & a reach & now U can't move. So, that's where U'll be for the rest of the day.. ½ lotioned & ½ ashy & in pain. This is why U never go anywhere in the house w/out your phone & music.

The older I get, the more I frustrate people w/ my views from things I've learned over time. I don't begrudge people their celebrations. I gladly take a day off when given. However, I think we need to be more mindful of the origins of these so-called holidays & of some of the phrases we use.
