we all lived just fine without social media twenty years ago, but now some people want us to believe we have to let self-interested companies do whatever they want, regardless of the social harm, because stopping them would mean robbing us of “free speech” and our rights. give me a fucking break.

Australia's whistleblower protection laws are a disgrace. Through David McBride's disclosures, the Brereton Inquiry found evidence of war crimes by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan. Worthwhile learning about what David has been through and contributing if possible.
