I purchased a photography ball some years ago, and experiment with it every now and again. I held it up to a piece of art I created for a picture book sequel to my 2020 picture book 'Mulberry Manor', and got some interesting results!

Back in the winter of 2023 I made a ghost statue out of an old wood candlestick holder, a polystyrene ball, polymer clay sculpted face, old lace curtains, cheesecloth and a donated bridal veil.
I did a photoshoot in a nearby park, and these are the results.

The Boy with the Baby Blues story from Tales of Unease was inspired by hearing a very peculiar sound one afternoon that I could not figure out whether it was a child or a cat.

"The crow seemed too large, the feathers too glossy, and its call was ringing with a dark undertone of absolute triumph". Triumph in Tales of Unease was inspired by a early morning, many years ago, waking up to a silent street, except for the call of a lone crow, perched on an electric pole.

Hope everyone had a great holiday season - my pup Schulz and I got a year older over the break and took lots of walks. Whilst I have not worked on any new dolls, I have been writing, so lots of Tales of Unease one and two posts are coming! Hoping to get both into print his year.
