This challenge is dedicated to the Saint Mark Lions, symbol of Venice and of the Veneti My version of the Lion of saint Mark called "El me Leon in moeca". "in moeca" ( a venetian word) refers to a winged lion lion seen in front view instead of the walking one. My artwork is created on paper with fine-liner pens and highlighters. In Febrauary 20225 a thick build hooded crow (Corvus cornix) came to meet me, perching on the wall, and staring at me with red eyes, one-on one, as if it was trying to give me a high five 👀.
A cutie 💚🧿.

One day I was out for a walk, when I met a sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) in action, killing a white dove. He and I locked each other eyes

Today I published the BTS reel.

Image of the first page of my comic dedicated to Angelo Giustinian-Recanati (1757-1813), the extraordinary provveditore of Treviso who calmly and firmly opposed Napoleon, who arrived in Treviso on May 2nd, 1797, to declare war on the Republic of Venice. There is a brief introduction, which states that Giustinian met Napoleon twice. The first in Graz on April 25, 1797, and then again on May 2nd. Giustinian sends greetings to Napoleon on behalf of the Venetian Republic. Image of the second page of my comic dedicated to Angelo Giustinian-Recanati (1757-1813), the extraordinary provveditore of Treviso who calmly and firmly opposed Napoleon, who arrived in Treviso on May 2nd, 1797, to declare war on the Republic of Venice. Napoleon is furious with the Serenissima and accuses Giustinian of serving criminals who threaten freedom and revolutionary ideals. Recanati says he will not leave Treviso unless the government orders him to. Napoleon is furious and demands the heads of ten Venetian inquisitors. Now and then post about my artwork on panel n° 65 called "Prayer", originally created in 2024. The photo above was shot in September 6th 2025. The work features myself in a venetic high priestess version, with corvid eyes and in her head, a circle with cardinal points written in venetic alphabet.In this alphabet, on venetian language base, it's written the title of the work and of the mini-series called "Prayers". There is also my signature, Elisa Tonini, witten also in venetic alphabet. Currently, there are some alterations on the copper leafs, oxidations or damage by humidity and other factors. She represents the victory of truth over darkness and frauds.

July 24, 2025, my beloved cat Curry died right in front of me from kidney failure; one of the most devastating things that has ever happened to me in my life.

That day, I desperately wanted her to have a headstone and burial. I engraved a rock with chisels...

Among the various things I'm working on, there's the work on panel n° 74✍️ . As you can see, the base of gesso and rabbit glue has a strange appearance, that I honestly had never caused before 💀👀.
Something goes on anyway tho 💪
