Years ago when waiting for my kid to finish music class, I went for a walk along the lake. It was dusk and Lake Michigan looked so calm but there was this light fog over the water which created a mood I had not seen before.

While visiting friends in West Layfayette, we went through a nearby park with lots of grassy areas. It was a beautiful day and I was inspired by the calm, summer feeling I got when looking at one of the photos I took from that trip.

My good friend goes to this part of Maine every year since she was little. One of her favorite things to do is explore the beach.

It is amazing and beautiful how red and pink the sky can look at sunset. I wanted to highlight these colors during the early evening hours by including these two little yellow birds.
