not saying anything groundbreaking here, but I really think "politics as a form of content to be served up and consumed like all other forms of content" has been an enormous, underrated disaster in terms of giving folks the illusion of being informed while essentially being gamed like a drug addict

Some really big, and what many ppl would call important, voices in here that doubled down on despair, doom and division, became abusive—even detracting from the democratic process

We have a pair of ladies who come and clean twice a month
Love them. They are super nice to the kids and very personable—also we gossip since they are our neighbors
Only bad part is I can’t use the bathroom while they’re here
It’s just embarrassing for me lol

There are these two little Mexicans living in this house and the littlest one just ate a tamal de pollo en chile verde—and it’s spicy. He asked for more. Practically ate the whole thing! He’s not even 2!!!

So proud of T. He played “Nobody Knows the Troube I’ve Seen” accompanied by his piano teacher. It was so expressive and fluid. He did a great job. And so did his teacher. It was a really moving arrangement and they played well together.
