When one has occasion to do karaoke while their alma mater competes for a Final 4 berth, one must of course sing Devil With a Blue Dress On (Mitch Ryder). So I did, obvs. I may or may not have interrupted my song briefly for a whoop when Isaiah Evans dunked. It was an excellent Saturday night.

So a few weeks ago, I promised my co-worker (huge Harry Potter fan) that I'd go to HP trivia with her, mainly for moral support. I even rewatched the movies, on the off chance that I could contribute something. And wouldn't you know, we won (and I actually contributed)! Yay, I did a thing!

Had a wonderful Wednesday. Both sons & my DIL were here visiting (how the cats loved having 3 extra laps to curl up in!), talking, playing games, & enjoying just being together. So much of the world sucks right now, but I have so much to be grateful for.

Our 30+ year old house has decided that random electrical issues are fun. Woke up this AM to no heat, flickering or weak lights, and some nonfunctional outlets. Send some warm thoughts my way as I wait for the electrician, y'all!

For anyone interested in my karaoke adventures, last night's results are in! Really strong crowd vibe, 4 or 5 new singers added to the mix (always great to see a new show start to build up a following!), and the signup sheet stayed pretty full. Really hopeful that this gig will stick.
