I had this issue back in the day when I had my tonsils out. When my mom came to pick me up at the hospital after a few days, she started talking to a young nurse who then helped pack my little kid’s suitcase. She saw my comic and took it out to read and wouldn’t let us go until she finished.

Remembering J.G. Ballard, born OTD 1930.
I’ve been reading his work for many years & I can readily appreciate why many qualify his writing as ‘timeless’.
And I can think of no better imagery to accompany this post than the equally timeless appeal of David Pelham’s superlative cover art 🙂
