Nice photoshoot of the Xmas concert of our choir Chorus Cathedralis Aboensis. At the Turku Cathedral Finland on Sun Nov. 30 at 6 PM. There will be Christmas carols by Sibelius, as well as e.g. Tonttu, one of the most beloved songs of the season (telling about the Xmas Gnome, who can’t fall asleep).

Excellent singing balance of Rahmaninov's Vigilia by the Turku based professional chamberchoir KEY Ensemble, who celebrated 20th anniversary. Winner of several awards for singing and CDs, the choir is conducted by the amazing Jutta Seppinen. Finland is a land of superb choirmusic!

Hyvää Suomen luonnon päivää! Happy Finland's Nature Day. Tänään voi laulaa luontoaiheisia lauluja ja kuunnella vaikka Einojuhani Rautavaaran teoksen Cantus Arcticus ja Sibeliuksen upean laulun Norden. Luonto paras lääkitsijä - mutta niin on myös musiikki.

Paavi Franciscus on hymyillyt koko kevään keittiössämme postikorttina, jonka ostin kerran Roomasta. Iloinen, vaatimaton, kannustava! Kokeilin eilen uutta ja leivoin Valion reseptillä italialaisen sitruunakakun. Meillä on kohta paavin muistokahvit (pannullinen Valamon luostarin mustaa teetä).

Daffodils on the Theatre Bridge in Turku, Finland - a true sign of Spring. I enjoyed a most wonderful (and peculiar) performance of Macbeth at Turku City Theatre with humoristic intertextuality (mostly music), which lightened up the 1st act. The rest was bloody like hell.

Daffodils on the Theatre Bridge in Turku, Finland - a true sign of Spring. I enjoyed a most wonderful (and peculiar) performance of Macbeth at Turku City Theatre with humoristic intertextuality (mostly music), which lightened up the 1st act. The rest was bloody like hell.

I joined Mastodon, too. An alternative to Facebook, Meta and so on. At the moment no snow in Turku, Finland. Heading towards Spring w more and more daylight. Give yourself a hug!
