So my firm's gonna cut 1/3 of the business, 1/3 of the staff (first on a "voluntary" basis of course) and fully expects to realise +10% growth YoY with that.
By all indication, that plan was drafted by AI, given the new CEO's obsession with it.

I'll post a full statement re: my decision to the blog when I get home or at some point tomorrow. I'm out at the moment. The EBU might as well bring Russia and Belarus back at this point. Today's decision goes against everything this contest once stood for and it truly is a sad state of affairs.

Colleague extended sick leave up until Christmas.

So either my boss is afraid of calling me or he's avoiding calling me because I'm about to get axed, and I don't know what reflects worse on him.
It IS kinda hilarious how he calls everyone *but* me, particularly for emails *I* have sent and where he calls anyone looped in on CC... but not me.
