Let’s make sure Minister @juliedabrusin.bsky.social starts strong by taking bold action to regulate this toxic problem.

We’ve drafted the letter. All you need to do is send it.

Tell the federal government to finish the job on “forever chemicals”
It’s time for Canada to act on toxic “forever chemicals.” PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals,” are toxic, don’t break down, and are building up in our bodies and environment.

PFAS or "forever chemicals" are in cosmetics, furniture and food packaging. They don’t break down, pollute water, build up in our bodies and are linked to cancer, fertility and developmental issues.

Canada is on the cusp of regulating #PFAS under environmental law. The new Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, @juliedabrusin.bsky.social, has a chance to lead and finish the job.

The fact that the CBC reporters are being protected by a line of police right now on air is deeply distressing. David and Rosemary's rage is completely justified. Fuck Rebel News. Seriously.

What now? We expect for Health Canada to quickly and transparently review glyphosate risks. Failure to do so could damage trust in Canada’s regulatory system and create trade risks, especially as the EU plans to limit imports of foods with banned pesticides.

Congrats to France! Still waiting for my home country, Canada, to get on with banning PFAS after years of study.
The French ban of some "forever chemicals" or #PFAS, highly harmful substances for human health and the environment, is a good step in the right direction, although it fails to cover some very relevant economic sectors. Decisive EU action is needed to protect citizens. @nicolas-thierry.bsky.social

La France bannit partiellement les «polluants éternels» ou #PFAS, substances hautement nocives pour la santé humaine et l'environnement. C'est un bon début, bien que certains secteurs économiques ne soient pas concernés. L'UE doit agir pour protéger ses citoyens.
