Reducing weekly class contact hours will help all teachers if the preparation & correction time is correspondingly increased. Employing more teachers will reduce workload for staff at all levels. Vote YES for more teachers and more manageable workloads.

Thousands of qualified teachers aren’t able to get permanent work, whilst the current workforce is hugely overworked - this is neither fair nor sustainable. We need more teachers in our schools. Vote YES for secure jobs and fairer work for all teachers.

The surge in ASN is compounding workload for teachers. The rise in ASN needs, which is simply impossible for teachers to meet, is placing immense strain on the health and wellbeing of teachers through overwork and low morale. Vote YES for fairer funding of ASN provision.

Excessive workload and working hours are health and safety concerns as they increase the risk of serious health issues, as identified by the World Health Organisation and the International Labour Organisation. Vote YES to protect the health and safety of teachers.
