It is disappointing that, despite very strong Yes votes for industrial action, our ballot has fallen victim to a highly restrictive element of trade union legislation that is soon to be repealed.

SNCT negotiations and political lobbying on workload alone haven’t and won’t lead to the outcome we need – We need to take the lead and make it happen – through a statutory ballot and industrial action if necessary. Vote YES for government and employers to do the right thing by teachers and pupils.
