I forgot to share at the time but I made my Mum an advent calendar filled with some of my favourite finds... from cowries to sea glass, pottery pieces to coral, painted topshells to even a tooth! My favourite shell was saved for mum to open last- a pelicans foot 🐚 #OuterHebride

After a very busy December, it is nice to come out the other side and escape in van for a night away ✨️ beach walks, prosecco and a little homemade seafood buffet for dinner. Decided to decorate van for the first time with Christmas decorations & lights ✨️🎅🎄 #OuterHebrides

Storm Amy has been wild, currently tucked up in my van north of Lochinver, it has been a long 18+ hours of this torrential rain and winds. Happy to be cosy in van 🚐 I had a lovely birthday yesterday with a chilly sea dip, beaches & otter watching before the storm hit. This is my view tonight 😬

Wow, yesterday was my last day of my full summer season at my little gift shop Coralbox 🙂 thank you all for keeping me busy & supporting my island business. I'm looking forward to heading off for an 18 day van adventure up North- full of fresh air, beaches, good food, sea dips & exploring! ☺️

An amazing amount of Velella, or 'by the wind sailors' washed up on the west coast beaches today & bigger in size than any other year I remember. But look closer, you will notice a very special shell attached... a violet sea snail 😍 my first one I've ever found #OuterHebrides

Yesterday I had the most wonderful day trip to Canna ☺️ an early drive to Lochboisdale for our boat journey across direct to Canna. A lovely tour around Canna House & an explore of the East of the island. A walk across to Sanday to the beach for my picnic & a swim #InnerHebrides
