This is the oldest of 3 stones for nurses and domestics of Glasgow Royal Infirmary in the Glasgow Necropolis. The staff listed died between 1872 and 1887. All bar one were in their twenties, came from outside the Glasgow area and died from conditions to which they were exposed during their work.
