Bruises, swelling, and other signs of physical abuse can be less visible on Black skin. This invisibility can have devastating consequences: delayed care, lack of protection, and continued violence. Believe survivors. What’s unseen still matters, and awareness can save lives.

We are very encouraged to see new measures being introduced to tackle #HonourBasedAbuse, including a statutory definition. HBA includes ‘honour’-motivated killings, female genital mutilation, and forced marriage, among other forms of #domesticabuse. #breakthesilence
