I am standing to be your SNP Candidate in Edinburgh Northern where I live and run a business.

The failure of Scottish Labour in London has shown that only independence can bring the change our communities need.

Only the SNP will deliver that change.
Edinburgh has become unaffordable for so many residents and this is a particularly expensive time of the year for many. With the Scottish election less than a year away I want to hear your thoughts on the cost of living here.

Councillors highlight class sizes at Wardie Primary School
Local councillors have been seeking answers on plans intimated to parents to amalgamate classes at Wardie Primary School. SNP Councillor for Forth Ward, Stuart Dobbin, and the Education spokesperson for the SNP Group, Cllr Euan Hyslop, expressed their concerns about proposals indicated to parents just last week to merge three P4 classes at Wardie Primary School into two, saying that this appeared to be based on finances rather than what is best for pupils.

This alone should be reason not to vote Labour next year. Their Thatcherite legacy lives on in PFI schemes that continue to rob the public purse and public sector workers to this day, due to cost the Scottish taxpayer around £1.1bn this year with £13bn still to be paid.

Ballots arrive 21 April.

Vote Euan Hyslop.

After some careful consideration I’ve decided to put myself forward to be the SNP candidate in Edinburgh Northern, where I live with my family and run a small business.

If you’re an SNP member and have any questions please get in touch.

This is a massive decision facing Councillors in Edinburgh tomorrow. Demand is outstripping supply and the current solution being tabled to move to a needs-based assessment with insufficient funding will mean kids like Robbie risk losing it entirely

Delighted to get cross-party support for my proposal to investigate how Edinburgh Council can require highly profitable businesses like student accommodation blocks & Airbnbs to pay for commercial waste, rather than being allowed to use domestic services paid for by our Council Tax.

I went into one of these coffee shops in London last week and vowed never to go back when I saw that they use Eversys espresso machines that steam milk automatically instead of training baristas.

Value a skilled hospitality workforce and don't buy coffee here Edinburgh.

Budget decisions yet to be made but cross party support to retain and strengthen services
Parents and councillors in Edinburgh have agreed to work together in a bid to save holiday hubs for disabled children in Edinburgh. The agreement to set up a formal working group with parents came after an hour of often emotional testimony describing how much the service has helped children who have no other options. But despite a cross-party commitment to retain and strengthen the service, the future of the hubs is dependent on decisions taken when the city’s budget is decided in February.
