Hello! Happy to see so many familiar and new people over here on blue sci! I am an immunologist at Towson University (Baltimore, MD). My lab studies how microbial derived ligands can be used to skew immune responses toward the good. With a focus on adjuvant-ing success for next gen of scientists.
Feels like summer :)

Immunology 2025 has been a refreshing and invigorating meeting. Met new friends, caught up with long standing ones, and introduced many new students to this supportive community in a beautiful setting. Until next time, aloha!

This one hurts. I am a PI today because of the experience I had as a trainee in this program.
BREAKING:
The NIH summer internship program (SIP) has been officially cancelled, across all institutes.

It’s a sad loss for the brightest science students in America, for American science, and for future cures for diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s. 🧪 1/
NIDA has announced it, but all the NIH summer internship programs are likely cancelled.

Sorry college students interested in STEM jobs, sorry high school students looking at science 🧪 careers. Trump and Musk are cancelling your futures.
