I'm not always ready to listen.
I may not be talking on phone,
I may not be writing or messaging,
I might look as though I'm ready..

But

I could be day-dreaming
I could be trying to recapture a word or memory
I might be savouring the silence

If I try to listen but fail, it's not personal.

The problem isn't 'lack of beds' it's lack of staff.

Are hospitals concerned with the cost of wages when setting rosters?
They have to be aware of the numbers set for surgery.
Or,
Is the problem a lack of staff & is this problem driven by casualisation of workforce?
