With all respect, Senator Tillis, it’s far too late to claim Congress is a “co-equal branch” when you abdicated responsibility and caved to Trump repeatedly over the past 9 years, most especially when you VOTED to let him claw back funding from agencies last year. Wake up.

Monday morning after Trump’s illegal, unprovoked takeover of Venezuela & its oil assets, this is what it looks like to live in a capitalist fever-dream plutocracy: The stock market hits a record high & oil stocks surge. The hell w/ democracy & global order, let’s get rich?

Troubling to see headlines like this one (Reuters via USA Today) where the “top” story is ‘bad man gotta go’ instead of ‘Reckless President/Felon Launches Illegal and Unwise Regime Change”. The US media is obeying in advance of the authoritarian dictatorship.

Such disrespect for the justice system and victims. How would it feel to be one of the jury members who gave time to weigh this case, only to be outdone by a felon in the White House? We cannot undo this damage, but we can get our neighbors to the polls in 10 months.

The bishops finally take an official position in support of immigrants. How long did it take for these men in gilded robes to grow spines and defend their parishioners? Too long. The heroes are the real leaders of the church: everyday worshippers, immigrants & their allies who demanded help.

This is an old trick from the Trump playbook—learned from his father and their lawyer Roy Cohn—file malicious claims and scare them (or bankrupt them) in court.

Day 345 of Trump Part 2: The headline is enough, why read the story and cringe, the toxic monster no longer surprises us, you know what he said and why he said it. It is beyond pathological, beyond toxic. He and his enablers are trying to wear us down but we must not let them win. Not again.

So here’s why a week ago I started sending all my packages via UPS instead of USPS: A package meant for me has traveled to five states in 12 days — once it got within 100 miles of my mailbox—but now it’s farther away than ever. And I bet once it arrives in Louisville it will sit in limbo, too.

“You may have an issue with it. It may be inflammatory in some way, but I would simply say that I’m not making an opinion — it’s not an opinion piece. I’m literally stating a fact. If you have a problem with it, then you may have more of a personal problem than an objective one.”
