Just want to share a very brief clip from the speedrunning feature, which is filled with anecdotes like these:

Love love LOVE the design on that feature header

I speak with Harvey Smith and Ricardo Bare about the creation of Deus Ex: Invisible War. ("I get a lot of interview requests for Deus Ex 1. I don't get them for Invisible War.")

Also, an article I've been wanting to write for a long time: how speedruns and speedrunners actually work, in detail.
Neon Giant’s No Law is the cover star of Edge 421, available now. Inside, we visit the studio’s Uppsala HQ to access the world of Port Desire, where the creators of The Ascent are scaling new heights with a cyberpunk immersive sim betting big on believability, agency and chaos.

I've very much been looking forward to the release of this issue.

That bit in Sunshine where every time the torch beam goes past the camera there's a subliminal image of the dead crew. I love that. Love that!

We came up with an idea for a game here that frankly every venture capitalist in the Valley should be lining up to first round

The problem with MGS 4 isn't that it has too many cutscenes. The problem is that all of the cutscenes are total shit. And all of the parts that aren't cutscenes.

It's damn good
Idk what's going on with the PR strategy for this game but I have talked to multiple games press people who have never heard of it and it's QUITE GOOD!! Way more of a crowd pleaser than something like Cronos and yet is getting 1/100th the promotion.

And it's less than $20?????
Really surprised I haven't seen more buzz about Crisol: Theater of Idols! Couple hours in and it's polished, mechanically neat and has a ton of style.

An especially great section in here discussing Baby Steps in comparison to Free Solo and Alex Honnold as an individual.

I also really like that the consensus from so many who've gone deep with the game is "Nate the video game character is actually incredibly impressive"
