One should consider that these things he says/does are meant to cause exasperation, except for his followers who chuckle or disregard them completely. People who question his intelligence or grasp of reality, or parse or debate the meaning or validity of the things he says are his biggest dupes.

It's disconcerting to believe that these people simply do and say what they need to in order to ride the wave of a boiled-brain race war ideology that happens to be both popular and effective but I think this is more often the case. It's hard to hold the culture, Americanism, to account.
Right. It does indeed appear that he is willing to be what he must be in order to win over this particular nation at this particular time. The worst of leaders for the worst of people. We are loathe to acknowledge the descent of a population into moral disgrace but this is just fact.
