I'm going to dedicate this account, previously little used, to advocating for the public domain in the United Kingdom. After visiting the Internet Archive for Public Domain Day 2026, I decided that someone needed to advocate in this country too.

I'd like opponents of copyright trolls to pay attention to this case. An elderly folk musician in Scotland is trying to regain rights to his own music.

We’re crushed to hear that Catherine O’Hara has left us. Horror fans know her work in BEETLEJUICE and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (as well as a memorable appearance in TALES FROM THE CRYPT), but her body of creativity beyond genre is an epic one. Our condolences to all who loved her.

In a poll of over 7,000 members, 97% of retail workers are calling for large stores to be closed on Boxing Day.

Retail staff deserve a decent break over the festive period - we want to see stores close on Boxing Day going forward to give shopworkers some much-needed time off.

When the news was talking about "Sora 2", I thought that it was talking about "Saw 2". I wonder which one is more scary.

Not to spend too much time on it mourning, but I am just about finishing a project that people contributed money to help me finish about 3-4 years ago and they all did it through Twitter and I won't be on Twitter to announce it or have them find that the project did ultimately complete.

I wrote a book once that I didn't feel like publishing, so some friends put it up on their website. And that was fine, because I could tell people where to find it. But then they allowed the website to die. But just this last week I found it on the Wayback Machine. The Internet Archive rocks!
