Despite what you may have seen on social media, the model for the _Smile_ movie poster was _not_ a member of Trump's family, cabinet, or legal defense team, _nor_ a Fox News host. Please quit spreading such nonsense around. #factcheck

You can’t reasonably blame the deadly Central Texas floods on the National Weather Service, but a reasonable person can absolutely pin the recurrence of measles squarely on the shoulders of two individuals, Dr. Andrew Wakefield and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Nothing for me to celebrate today. The net result of 250 years of struggle and sacrifice is trading a constitutional monarchy for an absolute one.

Best YouTube channel to de-stress from Trump and MAGA. Don’t let their soccer-mom appearance fool you. Earmuff the kids though!

So, what’s the over/under on how long it’ll be before Emperor Donaldus names his golf cart ‘Incitatus’ and promotes it to lieutenant general?

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve seen an organ grinder and his leashed money performing.

If you were worried that Bobby the Lesser won’t be able to find quack replacements for #CDC ’s #vaccine advisory board, rest assured every group has a lunatic fringe. They’ll have Ivy Lesgue medical degrees and will even be better-looking than the legit experts.

Bari Weiss and her “Free Press” have gone full MAGA and full pseudoscience. Hasta la vista, Bari.

And the Oscar for Most Thinly Disguised Schadenfreude goes to… every physician, patient, and hospital administrator in America!

If you go to an emergency room, urgent care center, or primary care clinic and are not seen by a physician (MD or DO), don’t be surprised if you’re misdiagnosed or subject to unnecessary imaging and lab studies. You can’t learn primary care from books and online courses. #EdMedVerdad

I have to say I’m pretty disappointed that mainstream news media are not calling out #RFKJr for the bald-faced lying fraud he is. He has been and still is a flat-out vaccine denier.

Here is a complaint I saw on NextDoor that illustrates the problem with non-physicians practicing primary care without supervision. Be sure to read the comments, which are all over the map.

It turns out Gresham’s law also applies to health care. Good caregivers will be driven out of circulation by bad ones. Today, it’s possible to go to a hospital ER, get admitted as an inpatient, undergo multiple procedures, and be discharged, without ever being seen by a physician. #EdMedVerdad

Let’s start with primary care, which is going downhill rapidly. I can think of no serious human enterprise that’s a better example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. The caregivers with the least amount of training and experience display the greatest level of self-confidence. #EdMedVerdad

Re the election postmortem, nobody has mentioned the dismal success rate of seated veeps running for president. Since the election reform of 1804, only two have won (Van Buren, 1836; Geo. H. W. Bush, 1988). Both were denied re-election. Maybe best to stop nominating them?

I haven’t watched any cable news since the abomination of an election, and I must say, I’m getting pretty used to it. For one thing, I’m getting a lot more stuff done. You?

What are some clues early in a social medium post that you’re not going to learn anything from it, so you’d just be wasting your time?

For me, it’s misusing your/you’re or there/their/they’re.

To whom can Trump go after firing this first round of atrocious cabinet appointees? There’s nothing below this barrel bottom. Maybe he can just replace them with NFTs.
