Finally, coding feels natural again! Learning Clojure has been a refreshing experience. I do miss Ruby, but Clojure isn’t bad at all!

I've experienced this firsthand while working with a team in a completely different timezone (GMT+1 vs GMT-6).

While the setup wasn’t exclusively for bug-fixing, it worked well for large projects too.

Here are some things that helped us collaborate effectively:
A benefit of two engineering teams in different timezones: being able to "follow the sun" for bugfixes! Can make for a magical customer experience.

From the personal experience of Sean Goedecke (Staff Eng at GitHub) working in a dev team in Australia, with their US dev counterparts.

I’ve got a few free days before starting my next job. This morning, I kept up with my usual routine of working out, and now I’m at a coffee shop, about to publish the website I built for the meetup I help organize.

Life’s good.

Your goal as an engineer isn't to write code that meets the requirements. Your goal is to solve problems over time, in a maintainable way. Deliver business value. Meet customer needs. It goes well beyond just coding.

It's a mindset worth adopting. It does make all the difference. 🎯
