The government is considering a ban on for-profit resale of gig/theatre/sports tickets.

The likes of Viagogo and StubHub are lobbying furiously against it.

But with practices like this going on, they would have only themselves to blame.

New post on Substack: reviewing ‘Lovers Always Win’ by The Sun Kings - a summer album full of nostalgia, chaos, and unexpected depth. There’s Cumbian rhythm, brass sections, Triffids, and Barry Island.

Think: Cardiff grooves meet emotional hangovers. Read it here ⬇️

The Sun Kings illuminate the shadows on “Lovers Always Win”
A sunny Welsh record that dances between nostalgia, absurdity and a quiet kind of hope.

New @smallmiracles247.bsky.social music video alert!
I directed & edited ‘You Know’ - no script, no plan, just instinct, live chaos and a DIY kaleidoscope aesthetic.

Wrote about how it came together here:

Small Miracles, Big Visuals: the making of “You Know”
how a scrappy on-the-go shoot, some kaleidoscopic edits and working with a band who really value visuals came together.

“Rapino maintains that prices are, in fact, still too low because resale reveals a ticket’s true market value. By this logic, a £100 ticket is underpriced if a secondary seller can list it on StubHub for £400.”
Obscene attitude. This paints a skewed picture. www.theguardian.com/money/2025/m...

I've always shared music with my daughter, and it's been an eye opening experience for me both as a parent and a music lover.

I've written about our journey in music discovery (including some cute stencils and absolutely with her approval).

the problem with being such a massive Nine Inch Nails fan is that people will tell me about things excitedly that I already knew, weeks, days or hours before… sometimes I’m even the source of that information 🤦‍♂️ it’s extreme levels of fandom

what listening to 1500+ “new” albums does to you… as learnt by me
I listened to over 1500 albums in 2024 and this is what I learned
realising I was losing touch with music, I set myself the goal of listening to 100 new albums in 2024.. I didn’t realise how deep I would go
