Such a disappointing and short-sighted decision ...
Scot Gov cancels its plans to legislate on energy efficiency and clean heating in private homes.

The irony in the ministers statement is that the bill would have addressed fuel poverty by introducing a standard for energy efficiency in private rentals.

I wish more people would get this. Too often we see studies and research and policy reviews and consultations consuming huge resources and public brain space in search of the perfect scalable solutions for net zero. Much better to get started with imperfect but available options and learn as we go.
