Here is a link to the seminar series organised by the International Barley Hub, at James Hutton Institute. This is a recording of an online seminar, where I explained the approach we used and some applications to developmental questions.

Meristems shape plant architectures, and grasses generate a complex array of them. To characterise barley vegetative SAMs and spike development, we used single cell and spatial transcriptome data and integrated them in a new database, BARVISTA. A click on a cell now.....

I am thrilled to share our work on integrating single-cell and spatial transcriptomics. Here, we assign a spatial position to protoplasts by gene expression imputation, allowing us to dissect regulatory networks during meristem and organ determination in barley.

Excited to see our work finally out! 🌾🏴‍☠️
We show how HvCLV1 and HvFCP1 shape barley inflorescence using innovative techniques and some cool microscopy.
Huge thanks to everyone involved in this study!
