I think the issue that leftists have is that they create art with a political message front and center instead of a good piece of art with a political message. To them their political message is the point, not creating art, and so when people criticize their art they go back to “but my message:(“

while i do think some of the discourse around age gaps is over exaggerated. i also think there should be conversations about men who exclusively date women in their early-mid twenties and statements like this diminish the conversation because you’re scared of being seen as a pedophile for reasons
