A fun movie with great practical effects, Salma Hayek's feet and a great cast (minus the awfully miscast and unconvincing Tarantino). It has aged pretty well and the old Blu-ray, while completely bare bones (not even subtitles), still looks good.

A fun movie with great practical effects, Salma Hayek's feet and a great cast (minus the awfully miscast and unconvincing Tarantino). It has aged pretty well and the old Blu-ray, while completely bare bones (not even subtitles), still looks good.

Another banger remake that can stand up to its predecessor, coming at us from the maker of Dream Warriors. Adding heavier gore and cool practical effects was the way to go. The cast is excellent and some deaths are really surprising.

As with any remake, I was reluctant to even see this. The cast is excellent and production values are better than anything else that ever came out of Troma. I think that's also its fault. It looks too good, in a way. I still recommend it. It has a good message.

Bad acting, a mid story, terrible cinematography and cringe dialog; but there are interesting ideas buried in this mess. There's also tons of gore, a pretty good soundtrack and some bloody (syrupy) girl on girl action. Didn't like it as much as Red Lips, but it's OK.
