I unfollowed like 300 people yesterday just because all they do was repost other people's frustrations or political platitudes. It drowns the feed. I can't see people I enjoy anymore. A few of them, of course, unfollowed me back, because they're here for the numbers, not fun content ๐

What a gorgeous steelbook release for a fantastic movie. Gyllenhaal is delivers the sleaziest performance of that year and beyond. His character's enthusiasm is sometimes so engaging that you forget what a total douche he is. If you haven't seen this, rectify it now.

Anyway, it's a hilarious movie that could have been an episode of Twilight Zone if only they wanted. Murray is great in this, and the groundhog delivers a convincing performance.

I need to re-watch Pusher. Avoid the remake at all costs. I really loved Only God Forgives, although it's not a very popular title.

No studio makes movies like this anymore. A bunch of well known actors, an established composer, a capable director and a legit soundtrack for a film that just... is what it is. No boardroom of bankers, co-writing the script based on social media algorithms. Nice.

All that stuff now has that Disney stank all over it. I skipped the latest Alien too. They can all fuck off, corporate vultures and their cancerous expansion over all franchises. I stopped reading Conan as soon as they got the rights for it.
