While I still feel most mornings like I have woken up in the upside down, there is something about scalloped potatoes, a cat on my lap, a mystery to finish and the wood stove keeping things cozy that is very comforting.

A friend recently recommended rereading Sherri Tepper’s A Gate to Women’s Country and I can’t do that right now. But I decided to reread her True Game series and enjoyed immersing myself in that world again. “Walk well upon the lovely land” is a phrase that never leaves me.
