How I’m walking out of 2025

New Jersey teaches you how to want more before it teaches you how to survive wanting it. You grow up close enough to the city to believe escape is possible and far enough away to learn how many people never make it out.

Leaving doesn’t always mean escape. Sometimes it just gives you enough distance to see what shaped you.

Suburbia has a way of flattening stories. Same houses. Same sidewalks. Same futures...until someone insists theirs will be different.

At some point, ambition has to stop being about who you’re trying to impress, and start being about who you’re willing to disappoint.

There’s a kind of grief that comes from realizing you were never meant to be the star. Only the witness.

I think some people confuse being remembered with being meaningful...and build entire lives around the mistake.
