Spent a very wet afternoon in the shack, trying to figure why the Quansheng wouldnt take new firmware. Faulty cable confirmed by trying it on the Retevis HH, same interface.
New cable to be ordered soon...

Defo feeling better after that nasty cold. Been doing jobs outside in the glorious sunshine, still getting out of breath but fitter than this time last week.
Forecast here is for a rainy weekend and early next week, so, planning to catch up on the outstanding jobs in the shack...

My Quansheng handheld arrived yesterday, all charged up ready to have a play with the stock software, then update it to RX sideband.
Not expecting to hear much at the home QTH, but hopefully on the hills...

I was wondering if any radio guys or gals had bought ferrites from Ali Excess ?
Im thinking the sort for ununs or common mode chokes.
If so are they any damn good ?
Also clip on ferrites ?
