Not one of these counties is in a battleground state. Tells a story of Kamala loss but does not tell the tale of where she lost that made a difference.

Doesn't matter whether you agree with Trump Tariff Threat or not - or even believe he would actually follow through on it or not - prudent that the federal government respond with tangible action steps to eliminate any need for him to act upon it.
Ottawa to announce boost to border-security measures after Trump’s tariff pledge: Border measures would likely be announced in a fall economic statement unless government determined that parliamentary gridlock prevented it, source says

Danielle Smith wants Alberta border patrol?
FACTS!
Along Montana border (with Alberta and Sask):
3 lb fentanyl last year, 1 lb meth.
Fewer than dozen individual (including migrants) "encounters" per month.
"urgent" provincial sheriff patrols, for this?

Fascinating dissection.

"The left must embrace populism, which is merely the name given to the struggle over an alternative to globalism. With globalism collapsing under its own contradictions, all serious politics is now populist in one way or another."

I think the tally has now just hit 30 senior appointees by Trump in his previous or current Administration who worked at Fox, which seems to be the most important qualification for the most senior positions in the US government under Trump.

It's official... Richard and I will be publishing our first book this fall. It's called "Democracy's Second Act" because while it can sometimes feel as though democracy has no future, we’re going to show you that it does — only it might look a bit different than you think.

Rx from me for a Made-at-Home Climate Plan:
First, take stock with a climate audit.
Second, adopt new domestic GHG goals based on cumulative emissions reductions.
Third, implement bilateral federal/provincial Climate Action Agreements to get results.

This alone explains why Pete Hegseth has been nominated by Trump to be his Secretary of Defense.
This should terrify every American. It doesn’t matter where you stand on immigration. Using our military as a domestic law enforcement tool at mass scale will destroy its core purpose, turn the American people against them, and damage the institution for decades.

Given Russian escalation and indiscriminate drone attacks all over Ukraine these past few days, this is an essential response to allow Ukraine to equalize the power equation before Trump arrives.
For the first time, the Biden administration has authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied ballistic missiles for attacks inside Russia, American officials say, marking a major policy shift. Here's what to know.

Concur. The media needs a new way of understanding and explaining the Trump administration. Honestly, given the breathless coverage of Trump to date, how can anyone in the media or elsewhere truly be shocked by him doing what he said he would do?
I feel like—ten years into the Trump era—journalists should have better language for what is happening that goes beyond verbs like shocking, upending, overturning, frustrating...

Every educated person understands Donald Trump is at war with the United States itself.

He's doing violence to America.
