I finally beat the main campaign of Baldur's Gate 1, there were a few confusing and frustrating parts but it's enjoyable. Now I just have to do the DLCs and then I can start BG2 or Planescape.

I think I came up with a Blood-themed Halloween idea: dress up as Caleb or a cultist and throw bundles of Twizzlers at people like it's dynamite.

Ended up switching to Linux Mint Cinnamon this week, some games are confusing to figure out how to run but all the id Software/Nightdive remasters seem to run a lot better under Steam/Proton than they did with Windows. Quake was real choppy before and now it runs at 60fps consistently.

Is it worth switching to Linux? Laptop can't run Windows 11 and can't afford to get a new one, also don't want to deal with Windows update crap anymore.
