This week on Another Thought, I’m digging into the brilliant new Earl Sweatshirt album, Forge from X-Men, and why it’s not cringe to “live laugh love.” anotherthoughtanotherthought.substack.com/p/earl-sweat...

My need to collect records is insatiable with no end in sight. This week on Another Thought, I wanted to zoom out and self-investigate “why?” I found this to be a great exercise to try to understand why I value collecting so much. anotherthoughtanotherthought.substack.com/p/why-collec...

Ambient and generally “immersive” music continues to consume my world. This list is far from comprehensive, but I felt compelled to share a few of the albums that fit into this realm that have been meaningful to me so far this year.

Sharp Pins' 'Radio DDR' is one of my favorite albums of the year. I was lucky enough to talk with Kai Slater to dig into the record and the idea of youth, not as age but as a constant pursuit of creativity.

Had the chance not long ago to speak with Hiro Ama about his beautiful album Music for Peace & Harmony. We talked about what “peace and harmony” means during chaotic times, and he gave me a demonstration of the Waraku synthesizer for KEXP's A Deeper Listen podcast www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojoa...

This isn't the last episode of The Cobain 50 but the last one I scripted/produced. And I can't think of a better way to "go out" than with...Butthole Surfers. One of the wildest underground bands that somehow made it to the mainstream. Listen here: kexp.org/podcasts/cob...

Cindy Lee’s ‘Diamond Jubilee’ turns one today! It took me a full year to sort out my feelings about, wrote it up recently for Another Thought. Favorite tracks from the album? (Plenty to choose from lol)

Been thinking a lot about Greg Sage and Wipers lately. Some of the best punk music ever made, but also some of the most existential. And what are "these times" today if not existential? I babble about this and the genius of Sage: anotherthoughtanotherthought.substack.com/p/wipers-gre...
