Thanks so much to everyone who braved the heat and humidity this past Saturday to help us complete our Adopt-a-Highway cleanup of Cheek & E Geer. It took 2 hours and buckets of sweat, but 19 volunteers collected an entire pickup cab of trash (247 lbs!) from about 2 miles of Durham streets.

We’ve officially adopted a section of Cheek Rd and E Geer St near our offices as part of the NCDOT Adopt-a-Highway Program! Join us on Saturday, July 19 from 8-10AM to clean up E Geer St from Cheek Rd to Tobacco Rd, and Cheek Rd from E Geer to Center St.
