Jokes aside, even my standard multicooker already has "AI" written on it. I tried talking to it, but so far with no luck. I'm currently looking for the menu edge where I can select the language model.

Experienced engineers know when to work incrementally and when batching is appropriate. After all, software development isn't like building construction.
experienced engineers: one change, test, one change, test
junior engineers: batch everything because they're in a hurry
this is exactly backwards
the person least capable of batching is the one most likely to batch

While I agree with the local code readability benefits, there's a spatial cost. Vertical formatting can fragment the code logic across too many screens, making it harder to maintain. It’s essentially a tradeoff between statement-level clarity and file-level code scannability.

The "4KB to the Moon" argument misses a key point: abstractions are how we manage cognitive load. It’s a response to the biological and energy limitations of our brains. There’s nothing wrong with this, we’re just trading cheap hardware for expensive human mental energy.
