Ultimately, Rei is just the focus, and while some events may change and the Family likely having a much harder time getting by. the story only focuses on a small region of the world, and doesn't touch a huge amount of even local politics, which would cause more significant changes.

Technically, there is no main MC in my story but many events would likely play out quite differently (or not at all) if any of the main cast were removed from play.
Also most character dynamics would be drastically altered come to think of it; this was a more interesting question than I thought 🤔

The world of Eastward wouldn't be that much different from the worlds most of my OCs live in so they'd most likely fit in well enough; and while I've yet to learn the upper limit of Eastward's "power scale", so to speak, they may be more than a little overpowered for that verse's primary threat.
