A new law aims to crack down on the practice by clearly defining what only a therapist can do.

The mental health crisis is somewhat fabricated depending on how you look at the data. There is a large volume of providers but insurance and other state barriers make it difficult for individuals to access care while appropriately compensating the provider.
The United States is reckoning with a mental health crisis. Yet ProPublica found that health insurers have created barriers for people trying to access this critical care at every step of the process.
